New Knowledge via Visual Stuttering.

A National Lottery Project Grant funded Research and Development Project exploring whether there is a beneficial allyship between a clinical (verbal) stutter, the act of painting, and the construction of images. As a lifelong stutterer and painter I wish to understand how a verbal stutter and a critical (or theoretic) stutter might create space and opportunity - through disruption and dysfluency - for something different, or even new, to occur within my painting practice.
